What are some of the scams and frauds to be aware of locally?

As anywhere, there are plenty of online scams. Here there are quite a few WhatsApp and Banco National related scams when someone reaches out to you and asks to do a wire. In the case of WhatsApp we had instances where they would pretend to be someone you know, but from a different number. In the case of Banco National scams, they would pretend to be from the bank.

As always, be vigilant when it comes to someone asking you to do any kind of transfer.

One such scammer is Denys Krychun. If someone is asking to send money to that name, its a scam. Adding their name here so that it might come up in google search.
